About Effective Solutions and Michael Lauf
Effective Solutions was created in 2014 by Michael Lauf to build and manage functional, and accessible websites for businesses and non-profits, help businesses and organizations produce, record and publish webinars using Zoom Conferencing, and help radio stations broadcast on the internet.
Michael Lauf received an Associate degree in Radio-Television Broadcasting from Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel Illinois in 1983. He served as announcer for WRTB-FM 96.7 in Vincennes Indiana and 106.5 in Washington Indiana from 1983 through 1993. Michael was Music director from 1989 through 1993, and Program Director from 1991 through 1993.
From 1990 through 2008, Michael ran his own DJ service, providing music and lighting for weddings, class reunions, Christmas parties and corporate events. From 1993 to 1996, Michael started and ran a business called “TeleTalk”, a service allowing persons to hear news, sports, weather, and area events via their phone. In 1997, Michael created the world’s largest-to-date list of radio stations broadcasting online.
In 1998 and 1999, Michael served as Web Analyst for TechTalk Broadcasting; finding, reporting and providing analysis on current technology events; and creating, hosting and producing “Handi-Talk”, a live talk show covering issues and technologies for the disabled.
In 2008, Michael Created, hosted and produced the SeroTalk Podcast and Blog; offering weekly news on the 55-billion-dollar assistive technology industry; motivational interviews with disabled entrepreneurs and leaders, and reviews of assistive Technology products and services.
Michael was a Business Information Specialist for the Tri-State Better Business Bureau in Evansville Indiana from 2003 through 2017; writing consumer information blog posts and press releases, conducting TV interviews, and resolving disputes between businesses and consumers.
Michael now runs his own company called Effective Solutions; building and managing websites created with WordPress and Drupal, managing online events using zoom Conference, assisting podcasters with getting started, plus audio production, broadcasting and internet streaming.
Michael’s latest project is called LaufWare software, a compilation of Windows software in over 40 categories, plus apps for iPhone and android, usable with screen reading software used by the blind. the objective is to promote independent living, finding and maintaining employment, and educating creators of software and phone applications of the importance of making their products usable by the blind. www.LaufWare.com
