Sponsorship Opportunities

The National Federation of the Blind of Alabama invite you to partner with us, by becoming a sponsor during our “Family United – Facing The Future Together” Annual Convention, being held on March 3-5, 2023 in Birmingham Alabama. Your participation will foster greater opportunities for the blind community of Alabama to embrace a better quality of life.

It is also an opportunity for you to access a unique customer base while promoting your establishment, indicating your dedication to service. As a sponsor and exhibitor, it is an unparalleled opportunity to reach out to blind individuals, highlight your products and services, and support the programs of the NFB of Alabama as we explore ways of increasing the blind community options toward their aspirations and goals.

The NFB of Alabama convention attracts approximately two hundred blind individuals, families, friends, and blindness professionals. Our convention is the place to be in March; you will not want to miss this tremendous chance to expand your market.

The funding you provide by serving as a sponsor and exhibitor goes far beyond helping support the important activities of the convention. These resources contribute to our work throughout the year as we implement programs to improve education and employment opportunities, raise awareness, shatter misconceptions, provide resources and advocacy, and promote the independence of the blind.

Listed below are a few of our programs.

• Annual Conventions, blind individuals will have the opportunity to attend conventions to receive assistive technology updates, pertinent legislation that impacts their lives, Employment opportunities, latest technology trends, etc.
• Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning Academy- a two-week program providing blind children initial or advance braille instruction in fun interactive Ways and provide parents networking opportunities.
• Scholarships- scholarships are awarded to blind technical or university students who demonstrates academic excellence as well as community involvement. The aim is to enable blind students in Alabama unleash their full potential and become leaders in their communities.
• Washington Seminar, blind individuals convene in Washington D.C. to speak with the U. S. Congress to advocate and learn about legislative initiatives that will improve their lives.

Your partnership helps us fulfill our mission to ensure the blind of Alabama achieve complete integration into society on the basis of equality.
